All timber is sourced from a PNG nationally owned plantation and PNGFP works in conjunction with the PNG Department of Environment and Conservation to ensure that the highest standards and best environmental practice are maintained at all times. In fact, PNG Forest Products is the only company in PNG that has achieved PEFC Chain of Custody accreditation on the basis of 100% controlled wood. The Chain of Custody system tracks the wood source to the final product, ensuring that the wood contained in the product originates from legal, non-controversial and socially responsible sources, demonstrating a strong commitment to the environment and Corporate Social Responsibility.
PNGFP’s Chain of Custody certification demonstrates a commitment to sustainable forest management that is unique in this country.

PNG Forest Products is a manufacturing member of the Engineered Wood Products Association of Australasia (EWPAA), which operate a rigorous Type 5 certification program under the controls of the peak accreditation body JAS-ANZ.
